1927年，优先台食物垃圾处理器诞生于美国，引发了自抽油机发明以来的第二次厨卫革新。目前，食物垃圾处理器在美国的普及率已达到90%以上，在欧洲也达到了70%以上，在日本、韩国的新建住宅已实现使用。

1940年，食物垃圾处理器的作用被研究肯定，食物垃圾处理器成为环保新星。

1955年，美国密执安那州底特律市的建筑法规中规定从1956年1月1日以后修建的，凡设计、安装使用会导致食物垃圾产生的城市建筑物，都必须配备预先认可的食物垃圾处理设备，如果使用了未配备此种设备的建筑物将构成违法。

1985年，美国加得福尼亚州有名市长在政府工作报告中说“食物垃圾处理器在我市的广泛使用，使广大市民受益匪浅。”

1992年，浙江润尚厨卫科技有限公司的前身申东水暖器材有限公司正式成立，并开始承接厨余食物垃圾处理器生产、出口业务。

1999年，纽约市政府组织对垃圾处理器项目对环境的影响进行评估，并得出结论大规模安装食物垃圾处理器，不会对环境造负面影响。同年，浙江润尚厨卫科技有限公司开始自主研发厨余食物垃圾处理器产品，正式进军厨余食物垃圾处理器行业。

2001年，建设部将食物垃圾处理器列为住宅装修的重点发展项目和推荐配套产品。

2002年建设部科技住宅示范项目中，将食物垃圾处理器列为现代厨房配套推广产品。

2003年电视台二套CCTV+-2在“为您服务”节目中向全国观众推荐食物垃圾处理器。

2005年，浙江润尚厨卫科技有限公司成为全球很大的厨余食物垃圾处理器品牌HDSUPPLY的产品供应商。

2009年NAHB（全美住宅建筑商协会）颁布了《美国绿色建筑标准》，并得到了ANSI（美国标准协会）的认可，其中明确指出在主要厨房的水槽下至少安装一台食物垃圾处理器。

2010年，MAXDISPOSER帝普森品牌在美国注册，外销和地区超过30个，包括美国、德国、英国、西班牙、意大利、迪拜等。
